Wow, stealing time to Blog should be much easier. That said now I know how to find my own blog, yes it should be easier to take a minute and jot something down. Ole Man Busy takes my time and returns only seconds.
Mothers Day was quite nice this year. Hubby got me a new desk chair, and gift certificate for a Massage at the New Massage Shop that opened a couple months ago on Main St. Son bought me a Bouquet of Flowers and paid for a nice Dinner Buffet at the Country Club. Had a great Mother's Day.
Didn't get to see my Mom, she wasn't traveling down here, and I couldn't go to her as Hubby was having Surgery the next morning. Was in the Hosp in ICU 3 days then home on the 4th day. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and both legs had bad bad blockages. He had had those blockages for several years, but his Cardiologist kept waiting and waiting. All fixed now and no pain in either leg except for a possible healing muscle down the front of his left leg. He says it feels like a really bad sunburn, I D K...told him to call the Surgeon and find out. So he is Healing up...
Laundry is screaming at me...gotta go for now...

If I were to win a Lotto
Ok, now I must be off my nut...I have so much to do....and here I sit typing and dreaming.....
If I were to win a Lotto,
I would be building me a giant Soaping,Sewing,Crafting space. In that I would have it all divided into great large areas, and have tons of cabinets for everything. A Sewing table with storage and open shelving below the table. Tons of fabric storage cabinets to house my vast collection of fabrics. Plenty of space to house and use my 6 sewing machines. And I am due for a new high falution sewing machine. I also would get me one of those Quilting Machines for after you get the quilt top done, it puts on the backing and the batting all at the same time that it quilts the thing together. And that takes up a lot of room. Add lots and lots of little goodie drawers in different sizes for machine feet, do dads, thread, and all the sewing gadgets necessary for the sewing room use. I think I would want the cabinets to have see thru doors so I would find things much faster, making cleanup quicker too. Oh and I would want a computer area in that fine well laid out space. That is a necessity now anyway.Yepper, sure would have to have that.
For the Lotion and Soaping area, a nice large sink, with working water and all stainless worktables and countertops. Mixers and blenders and all the necessity stuff. Plenty of soap drying racks, cabinets for the "stuff"and a nice wrapping area for the final handling and mailing.
Crafting Area, again, storage with drawers and cabinets. Nice big table for hot gluing. Not to mention enough plugs for the electricity, all over this vast workshop is at the top of the list. Some super good lighting is a big must. (Here I might have to buy into stock for the electric company...rofl....as if this will ever come to pass anyway)
Dreaming on....Now if someone out there has about $150,000.00 that they just have to part with, I am willing to accept it gracefully, and write you a nice letter Thanking You for the wonderful Gift, from the bottom of my heart, of course..... I would also be eternally grateful. No strings attached mind you....just so you have a clear head about that. I am already a busy gal and have no time for any strings.
I might as well dream, it is a beautiful, sunny day outside, but windy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy Sunny Sunday
Gorgeous and beautiful here, but the wind is ripping. Son and myself pulled off the heavy plastic tarp that the wind blew off the roof, and it was wrapped around the Master Bedroom fireplace, about ready to go flying to the neighbors yard. Roof Leaks from all the heavy rains equaled 19 total leaks on Dec 22,2010. So that is why the plastic tarp was on the roof. Winds throughout the night pulled the tarp loose of the tape, then early early am, I could hear the heavy tiles that the roofing company used as hold downs went flying. Crashing and breaking. Sandbags didn't move, but not enough were placed on the plastic to hold the edges from flapping. We get some nasty Santa Ana's and so the day started off on the roof. Reminds me of the song....Up on the Roof. (Might not be the title, but that is what is remembered about the melody and lyrics.)
Well you all have a great day.
Well you all have a great day.

Home for my travels now for 2 weeks. Have rested and the jetlag is history. My Sister's Brain surgery went very well, and she is still mending and healing. I miss her and my 2 nephews terribly.
Made new wonderful friends while I was there. Roy and Monica you 2 are absolutely TOPS in my book. I have not forgotten about the Apple Butter....just be patient it will come.
Love to all, Roni

Things I like to do.
Welcome to my 1st blog site.
Lots going on since I started my Blog:
It is Mid May already. Leaving the end of this week and heading to Mississippi to get my Brother Edwin, then up to Evansville, Ind, to be with my Sister and take care of her boys. She is having Brain Surgery. Then to Illinois for a few days then Home. About 3 weeks gone.
May 17th 2009 Here is added pics. The soap box, for my soaps to set up in, and the cutterbox, to cut them with. Works really well, as the ends of my SoapBox remove to slide out the soap block. No screws, an wing nuts for me. I just pull out the plugs, 4 on each end and slide out the soap block. My design, and my creation. Hubby bent the rods for me...Great job Honeydoo....
And pics of the closet coming along nicely. I am up to 6 large garbage bags of stuff to either sell, (hubby says to get something for all that so sell I guess) or donate. Still have more to fill....What a load off my back getting it done after all these years. It feels great. And the closet is organized and easy to keep up.

This will certainly be my adventure as I like to do many different things and have many projects going on and on and on. Some I actually get finished. If those projects don't get in my way I will be able to keep up with this blog.
My talents are self taught, with moderate to nil schooling. I come from a vast family of incredibly talented and crafty people.
Passion for Sewing, mostly clothing, interior stuff too.
Woodworking, gotta love it and can't get enough of it, nor the time. Geezzz
Interior Decorating....the home always needs stuff to be done. Inside and out, neverending.
Big project now is the Master Bedroom Closet (see the pics...out with old). The best part was pounding out the old wood boards. Of course way too many clothes. Downsizing is emminent and happening, in a big way with lots to do. 20 years in this house, collecting and stuffing. It is over now.
Closetmaid is partly installed and some items have returned to their new organized place. What a difference WHEW...!!
I have had to be plain ruthless in the tossing out department. I am on my way tho'. Hubby is tossing out too....whoopie !!!!
Soap and Handmade Bath Stuff, been making Soap and Hand Milled Soaps for a few years. Bath Salts and Sugar Scrubs is new and wonderful on the body. Enjoying this immensely.

Newest thing I made is a great Lotion. The Hubbie says, I should make it and sell it. He thinks it is the best he has ever used. His sunparched arms, are staying emollieated, moisturized, and the dryness is gone. Even after showering he can feel the difference. Whoopie....He even told me to order the bottles to sell it.....Now that is a shocker....big time....for him to want me to spend money.....Bottles have arrived. When I return from the Midwest in mid-June....I will be making my lotion.
